In addition to house-shopping, a Pueblo man also may be in the market for a car.
On Tuesday, Jack Cowan's 1992 Subaru Legacy was stolen while a real estate agent showed him a house in the 2100 block of West 13th Street, according to a report by Pueblo police officer Arron Chasteen.
Cowan told police he was only away from the car for about 10 minutes, beginning at 4 p.m., and had left the keys in the ignition. Estimated loss: $8,000.
After two days away from home, a Pueblo man returned to find his residence had been burglarized.
Hand-painted Russian nesting dolls worth $7,500 were among the property stolen from Bill Goode's house in the 700 block of West 10th Street, according to a report by Pueblo police officer Manuel Eurioste.
Clothing, bunk beds, a fax machine, a phone, a photo album, a filing cabinet, a DVD player and a TV worth a combined $1,300 also were taken.
Goode told police he had been away from home since Sunday morning and returned Tuesday afternoon to make the unpleasant discovery.
